F.A.Q.
(Frequently
Asked Questions / Foire Aux Questions)
1. Extra nights in Quebec City
Question :
The forms for nationals include the lodging for May 18-21. My son
also has Thursday and Friday off school so we are arriving on the evening of
the Wednesday the 16 and departing Wed the 23. We will certainly look
after our own meals but is it possible to book lodging at the residence for the
16, 17 and 22? The rates are $26 each for a double room would it be the
same price too. We would submit all the money upfront with the rest of
our fees. Would I include the extra days on the existing form or would it
be separate.
Answer :
You can without problem extend
your stay at Laval University Residences. Please use our PDF Static
Registration Form, print it, add the extra days at the same price (breakfast
included). The extra days are payable with the rest of your fees.
2. Provincial coordinator lodging
Question :
I realize the team captain gets a
single room paid for by CMA, but does this also apply to the Provincial
coordinator?
Answer :
The Championship's host must at
least offer lodging for 12 players and the captain. However in the past some
organizers were able to offer other advantages to the participants, thanks to
their sponsors.
3.
Pre-school aged
child lodging
Question :
We have one family who will be attending with a pre-school aged child.
They wish to have a double room for the 2 adults and have the child stay in the
room with them. I believe the child is about 5 years old. Will they be
required to pay for lodging for that child?
Answer :
Rooms are not very large. There
is no place for a child auxiliary bed. We can gather parents and children
(child taking part in the tournament and the pre-school aged child) in two
double rooms. Do not forget that we pay the player lodging fees (maximum 3
nights at $26/night).
